The 400th Eurofighter Typhoon have been dropped at the Programme’s worldwide customer base. The German Air Force took delivery of the 400th aircraft on Wednesday 4th December 2013 during special ceremony at Cassidian’s Military Air Systems Center in Manching, Southern Germany. At the Ceremony, the State Secretary of the German Ministry of Defence, Christian Schmidt, received the aircraft with the markings ‘31+06’. Lockheed Martin (LMT) successfully conducted the fifth and final Production Qualification Test (PQT) for the recent Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Alternative Warhead recently at White Sands Missile Range, N.M. During the long-range test, four rockets were fired from a HIMARS launcher and destroyed their respective targets approximately 65 kilometers away. The test is the general milestone before the Developmental Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) phase, in order to incorporate soldiers into the system testing.
